We will volunteer our time to help vaccine-qualified individuals make and keep appointments for the vaccine for COVID-19.
We are a volunteer-run collective that seeks to remedy a specific and pernicious harm that we have identified.
We are NOT in charge of shaping policy, but we sure can direct our energy and advocacy to those who are.
We are NOT a community health organization, but we sure can offer our assistance and labor to those doing the real work in the communities we are trying to assist.
We listen to the members of these communities, and do not engage in activity that is interruptive, serves our own personal agendas, or ignores BETTER structures already in place.
Volunteers will crowdsource information in the GOTS FB community.
Volunteers will receive training so that they can navigate the complex and challenging appointment system for our neighbors in need of assistance.
Volunteers will have access to the needs spreadsheet and track their communication with the neighbors that they contact to help.
Volunteer drivers (especially those already vaccinated) may be deployed.
Neighbors can get help by filling out the I NEED A SHOT form OR by calling and leaving a message on the GOOGLE VOICE NUMBER.
